Theme: Victorians

This teaching material supports research and creative interpretation of Victorian history, based on national and local (Sunderland) resources. Lesson plans and resources such as photographs, maps and burial records are provided in this unit. This material can be taught in its entirety, or as separate sessions incorporated in other curriculum areas; it provides opportunities for cross-curricular links with Geography, Maths, Art and Design, Citizenship, Design and Technology and ICT. This unit of work promotes learning outside the classroom.
