‘Explore England’s Past’ allows you to explore images, documents and audio-visual material as we discover them. You can search for places, people and themes across England to help you with your own research and learning.
Content is the result of research by volunteers and EPE staff throughout England.
In addition to this site, from 2009 there will also be a dedicated educational website for school teachers and pupils, derived from the schools projects in each EPE county. Read more about this in the
