Welcome to Schools Learning Zone
This website offers free educational material for teachers and pupils.
Schools Learning Zone has been developed by Victoria County History’s Heritage Lottery-funded project England’s Past for Everyone (based on historical research by volunteers and county staff). Following a number of exciting local history projects in schools across the country, SLZ educational material has been produced by education specialists and historians. New educational material will be uploaded to this site throughout the year.
Teachers can access downloadable packs of educational resources, activities, timelines and lesson plans. The material is cross-curricular and makes links to the National Curriculum.
Key Stage 1–3 pupils can access interesting facts, images and interactive activities.
